•
Close the side panel of the machine.
•
Connect the power supply cable to the power output line. Turn on the switch. Press the torch switch.
The wire fed by the wire feeding motor at variable speed must slide through the liner. When it exits
from the torch neck, release the torch switch.
•
Turn off the machine.
•
Mount the contact tip and the nozzle.
When checking the correct exit of the wire from the torch do not bring your face near
the torch, you may run the risk to be wounded by the outgoing wire. Do not bring
your fingers close to the feeding mechanism when working! The rolls, when moving,
may crush the fingers. Periodically, check the rolls. Replace them when they are worn
and compromise the regular feeding of the wire.
6.1.2 GAS CYLINDER AND REGULATOR CONNECTION
WARNING: Cylinders are highly pressurized. Handle with care. Serious accidents can
result from improper handling or misuse of compresses gas cylinders. Do not drop
the cylinder, knock it over, expose it to excessive heat, flames or sparks. Do not strike
it against other cylinders.
The bottle (not supplied) should be located at the rear of the welder, in a well ventilated area and securely
held in position by the chain provided.
For safety, and economy, ensure that the regulator is fully closed, (turned counter-clockwise) when not welding
and when fitting or removing the gas cylinder.
•
Turn the regulator adjustment knob counter-clock wise to ensure the valve is fully closed.
•
Screw the gas regulator fully down on the gas bottle valve, and fully tighten.
•
Connect the gas hose to the regulator securing with clip/nut provided and to the connector on the
back (12).
•
Open the cylinder valve, then set the gas flow to approx. from 5 to 15l/min. on the regulator.
6.1.3 NO GAS MOG WELDING
•
Connect the earth cable connector to the positive socket (7) of the
unit.
•
Connect the working cable to the negative terminal of Voltage
Change Board inside the unit side (15).
6.1.4 MIG/MAG WELDING
•
Connect the earth cable connector to the negative socket (8) of the
unit.
•
Connect the working cable to the positive terminal of Voltage Chan-
ge Board inside the unit side (15).
6.2 MIG/MAG AND NO GAS MANUAL WELDING
•
Before connecting the unit to the mains, verify that all the accessories are correctly installed and
mounted for electric welding (torch, shielding gas cylinder, wire spool etc ...).
•
Select Manual MIG Welding function thru the Selector Switch (4) on the front panel.
•
Switch the unit on thru the ON/OFF switch (11) on the back side of the unit.
•
Press the torch trigger to load the wire and check that the gas comes out from the welding torch.
•
Set the welding parameters:
•
Wire feed speed with potentiometer (5).
•
Arc voltage with the potentiometer (6)
•
Bring the torch close to the workpiece and press the trigger.
•
To finish the welding, release the trigger. T
6.3 AUTOMATIC MIG/MAG/MOG WELDING
With the MIG AUTO mode, the operator has the possibility, once a speed-voltage starting point is defined,
to change the welding current (thickness of the material to be welded) by simply acting on the wire speed
potentiometer (5). By increasing or decreasing the wire speed, the generator will automatically modify also
the voltage and as consequence the welding current.
Note: With wide variations in wire speed (left potentiometer - 5) may be necessary to adjust the voltage
(right potentiometer- 6).
•
With the regulation potentiometer (5) choose a speed for the wire that is deemed appropriate for the
thickness of the material to be welded.
•
Act on the voltage regulation potentiometer (6) to obtain the desired weld quality.
