The declared vibration value has been measured with
a standard test method and may be used to compare
one tool with another.
The declared vibration value may be used in a
preliminary assessment of exposure.
WARNING:
The actual vibration values during use of the
tool can be different from the above stated and
depend on the use of the tool; and the need to
identify safety measures to protect the operator
are based on an estimation of exposure in the
actual conditions of use (taking account all parts
of the operating cycle such as the times when
the tool is switched off and when it is running idle
in addition to the trigger time).

The blades continue to move for a fraction of a
second after the hedge trimmer is switched off.
Do not touch the moving blades.
When using the tool always ensure that the cord
is safely captured in the cord retainer as shown in
Figure 2.
WARNING:
Always hold the hedge trimmer on its handles
with both hands and have the blade point away
from yourself. Stand in a secure and stable
position.
Clean up the cutting area before starting. Take away
stones, glass pieces, nails, metallic cable and any
objects that can be projected or get caught during the
cutting
Using pruning shears, first prune out branches of a
diameter greater than 18mm
Young buds can be trimmed easily with a scythe
movement; older and bigger hedges ban be trimmed
easily with a sawing movement
If desired. You can use a string to help cut your
hedge level. Decide how high you want the hedge.
Then position a piece of string along the hedge at this
height. Trim the hedge just above this guide line. See
Figure 4.
Trim the side of a hedge so that it will be slightly
narrower at the top. See Figure 5. More of the hedge
will be exposed when shaped this way, and it will be
more uniform.
Metal objects such as wire fences and plant supports
can damage the blade. Do not let the cutting blades
come in contact with materials that cannot be
trimmed, such as stones or metal
Always position the power cord away from the
working area. Always work away from the power
socket. For this reason decide on the direction of cut
before beginning work.
