remains on and the led emits 2 brief red flashes, repeat the procedure from the
beginning.
9 - PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS USING THE
BUTTON ON THE DIMMER
9.1 - Programming a transmitter in Mode II (using the dim-
mer's button)
This procedure memorizes a transmitter in mode II. In this case you do not require a
transmitter to have already been memorized in Mode I.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. (on the dimmer) Hold down the button until the green led turns on and off; re-
lease the button.
02. (on the dimmer) Hold down the button until the green led turns on and off; re-
lease the button.
03. (on the dimmer) Hold down the button until the green led turns on and off and
then flashes green 5 times; release the button.
04. Select the type of function you wish to program from the list and slowly press the
dimmer's button the number of times indicated for that function:
• "Dimmer Up > Dimmer Down > Dimmer Up > etc....." / "Toggle" (= 1
press)
• "Dimmer Up" (= 2 presses)
• "Dimmer Down" (= 3 presses)
• "Toggle" (= 4 presses)
• "Level 1" (= 5 presses)
• "Level 2" (= 6 presses)
• "Level 3" (= 7 presses)
• "Level 4" (= 8 presses)
• "Off" (= 9 presses)
• "On" (= 10 presses)
Wait for the led to emit the same number of brief green flashes as the number of
presses for the function in question.
05. (on the transmitter) Hold down the button you want to program; wait (5 seconds)
until the led emit 3 brief green flashes and the lamp turns on to 50% brightness.
Now release the button.
If you wish to memorise another button on the same, or another, transmitter, repeat
the procedure from the beginning.
9.2 - Deleting the memory (using the dimmer's button)
You can use the dimmer's button to totally or partially delete the dimmer's memory.
01. Hold down the button until the green led turns on and off; release the button.
02. Hold down the button until the green led turns on and off and flashes green 2
times; release the button.
03. Hold down the button until the green led turns on and off and flashes green 5
times; release the button.
04. Select what you want to delete from the following list, then press the dimmer's
button the same number of times as indicated for the option in question:
• delete transmitters only (= 1 press);
• delete parameters only (= 2 presses);
• delete all transmitters and parameters (= 3 presses).
Wait 10 seconds for the green led to flash the same number of times as the but-
ton presses (and hence your selected option).
05. Hold down the dimmer's button; wait for the green led to turn on and off, then
release the button: the led will flash green briefly 2 times to confirm the deletion.
10 - PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS USING AN
EXTERNAL BUTTON
You can connect an external button to the dimmer to switch the lamp on and off and
adjust its brightness. The button can also be used for programming. During the pro-
cedure, the led's flashes are repeated by the lamp itself. This means that you are not
forced to monitor the led on the dimmer. Important – if you use a fluorescent or led
lamp, it may not flash in the same way as the led on the dimmer itself. This depends
largely on the technology of the lamp, which varies considerably by make and model.
10.1 - Programming a transmitter in Mode II (using an external
button)
This procedure memorizes a transmitter in mode II.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Shut off power to the dimmer; hold down the external button, then power the
dimmer up again. Wait for the green led to turn on and the lamp to turn on at
minimum brightness; then release the external button.
02. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and stay on
and for the lamp's brightness to increase; then wait for the led to go out and the
lamp's brightness to decrease; release the button.
03. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and stay on
and for the lamp's brightness to increase; then wait for the led to go out and the
