11.2 - Setting a new level and memorizing it in Mode II (using
the dimmer button)
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Hold down the dimmer button until the green led turns on and off; release the
button.
02. Hold down the dimmer button until the green led turns on and off; release the
button.
03. Hold down the dimmer button until the led turns on green, turns off and then
flashes green 2 times; release the button.
04. Set the lamp's brightness to the desired setting using the dimmer button as follows:
• first long press: increases the brightness until the button is released.
• second long press: decreases the brightness until the button is released.
Caution! – Briefly pressing the button activates the Toggle function (On/Off).
Once you have reached the desired setting wait (10 seconds) until the led flashes
green 2 times.
05. Select the level you wish to assign the new setting to from the list and slowly
press the dimmer button the number of times indicated:
• Level 1 (= 1 press of dimmer button);
• Level 2 (= 2 presses of dimmer button);
• Level 3 (= 3 presses of dimmer button);
• Level 4 (= 4 presses of dimmer button).
Wait 10 seconds for the green led to flash the same number of times as the but-
ton presses (and hence your selected option).
06. Hold down the dimmer button until the green led turns on and off; release the
button. If the procedure was a success the dimmer's led will briefly flash green 2
times, and the lamp will turn on at minimum brightness.
11.3 - Setting a new level and memorizing it in Mode II (using
an external button)
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Shut off power to the dimmer; hold down the external button, then power the
dimmer up again. Wait for the green led to turn on and the lamp to turn on at
minimum brightness. Release the external button.
02. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and stay on
and for the lamp's brightness to increase; then wait for the led to go out and the
lamp's brightness to decrease. Release the external button.
03. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and stay on
and for the lamp's brightness to increase; then wait for the led to go out and the
lamp's brightness to decrease. Release the external button.
04. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and off; wait for
the lamp's brightness to increase and then decrease; wait for the led and lamp
to both emit 2 brief flashes. Release the external button.
05. Set the lamp's brightness to the desired setting using the external button as fol-
lows:
• first long press: increases the brightness until the button is released.
• second long press: decreases the brightness until the button is released.

and the lamp flash 2 times.

and turn off again; now release the external button.
If the procedure was a success the dimmer's led will briefly flash green 2 times,
and the lamp will turn on at minimum brightness.
12 - LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE MEMORY
As said in Chapter 8, you can memorize new transmitters using a previously memo-
rized transmitter. When doing so, if another Nice transmitter with rolling code encod-
ing is transmitting in the vicinity of the dimmer, there is a risk that it be unintentionally
memorized in the dimmer. To avoid this, you can lock the dimmer's memory as follows.
12.1 - Locking/unlocking the memory (using a previously
memorized transmitter)
This procedure can only be done with a Mode I transmitter.
