Intro
DK
These instructions contain important information and warnings. It is therefore
important that you read the instructions carefully before starting to use the grill.
Inexpert or careless use of open fire can pose considerable risk to people and property,
DE
as can the incorrect handling of a grill.
With the portable To Go Grill, it's easy to grill anywhere – on your balcony, in the woods
GB
or even on the beach. The small charcoal grill is the perfect size for smaller dishes
such as prawns on skewers, vegetables or a couple of steaks. The handles on the grill
stay cool, even when the grill is hot. The lid handle makes it easy to transport the grill.
ES
The grill is supplied with a practical strap which holds the various parts in place during
transport or storage. The grill lid doubles as a dome cover when the grill is in operation.
After use, it is easy to clean the grill and empty ash and coals from the coal bucket.
FR
The To Go Grill is made of enamelled steel with silicone handles. The grid is made of
IS
chromium-plated steel, while the strap is made of nylon. The To Go Grill is 40 cm high
and 32 cm in diameter. The grid is 27.5 cm in diameter.
IT
Preparation
The To Go Grill comprises the following parts:
1. Lid
NL
2. Grid
3. Coal bucket
4. Heat shield
NO
5. Cabinet
6. Strap
PT
It is important that you place the heat shield (4) correctly in the bottom of the grill (5).
Then place the coal bucket (3) on top of the heat shield (4). The heat shield (4) reduces
SE
the heat which passes from the grill to the surface on which it stands. If the heat shield
is not correctly positioned, the surface may be permanently damaged. Place the grid
(2) in position above the coal bucket (3), and then the lid (1). Use the strap (6) to hold
FI
the grill together when it is being transported.
Note: Never move a hot grill. Always allow the grill to cool down before moving it.
Once it has cooled, the grill can be moved using the handle on the lid.
Lighting
Start by filling the enamelled coal bucket with charcoal. Note that you do not need to
use nearly as much charcoal as for a larger grill. The coal used in the grill can't exceed
0.6 kg. If you use barbecue lighting fluid or firelighters, make a pyramid of charcoal
or briquettes in the middle of the coal bucket. Break a couple of firelighters into small
pieces and place them between the coals or pour 50 ml of barbecue lighting fluid over
them. Then light the grill, but do not start grilling until the coals are covered by a grey
layer of ash, approx. 30 minutes. Never pour barbecue lighting fluid onto a hot grill!
To prevent overheating, do not overfill the coal bucket. This will help to prevent
food from charring and, in the worst case, the To Go Grill from becoming damaged;
for example, the lid may become permanently discoloured.
Cooling
Allow the coals to burn out and the grill to cool down before moving it. Never try to
attach the strap while the grill is still hot.
Do not empty the coal bucket until it is completely cold. Please note that it may take
more than 24 hours before there are no more hot embers hidden in the ash.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning the grill, first check that it is cold and that the coals are completely
extinguished. The grill (lid, cabinet, grid and coal bucket) can then be washed with
hot water and a mild detergent. Rinse the grill well with clean water and wipe dry.
Remember to clean the grill thoroughly at regular intervals, and use a grill brush to
clean the grid after use.
Please note! The surface of the grill is prone to damage if sharp implements or
abrasive cleaning agents are used to clean it.
Warranty
The grill comes with a warranty against rust provided that the grill is assembled
and used in accordance with the accompanying printed instructions. Eva Solo A/S is
entitled to demand reasonable documentation for the date of purchase. Thus, always
keep the receipt or invoice. The warranty only covers the repair or replacement
of parts which prove to be defective after ordinary use and service and which are
deemed by Eva Solo A/S, on closer inspection, to be defective. Initially, you should
always contact the dealer where the grill was purchased. Only then is it possible to
return the grill to Eva Solo A/S. If Eva Solo A/S confirms the defect and approves
the claim, Eva Solo A/S will replace the relevant parts free of charge. If defective
parts need to be returned, the freight costs must be paid in advance. Eva Solo A/S
returns the parts to the consumer with pre-paid freight or stamps. This limited
warranty does not cover malfunction or problems operating the grill which are due to
accidents, maltreatment, misuse, modification, incorrect use, vandalism, incorrect
installation, maintenance and service or if normal and routine maintenance has
not been performed. Moreover, the warranty does not cover breakage or damage
as a result of extreme weather, for example hailstorms, storms, earthquakes and
hurricanes. Nor does it cover discolouration resulting from contact with chemicals,
either directly or air-borne. Eva Solo A/S accepts no liability whatsoever for special
indirect or consequential damage. This warranty only covers the To Go Grill which is
manufactured by Eva Solo A/S and sold through a retailer.
