5 Assembly/Installation

fied personnel
only!
– Installation should only take
place once all welding and sol-
dering work has been comple-
ted and the pipe network has
been rinsed. Dirt can have an
adverse effect on the functioning
of the pump.
ATTENTION!
Keep the terminal
box close during the
hydraulic
installation!
– The pump must be installed in
an easily accessible place to
facilitate inspection and replace-
ment.
– We recommend that you fit shut-
off devices in front of and behind
the pump. This will save having
to drain and refill the system if
the pump needs replacing. The
fittings are to be installed so that
any water that escapes cannot
drip onto the pump motor or ter-
minal box.
– When installing flow pipes in
open units, the expansion flow
pipe must branch off before the
pump.
– Carry out off-load installation
with the pump motor lying hori-
zontally. (Installation positions in
fig. 1).
– An arrow on the pump casing
indicates the direction of flow
(fig. 2, pos. 1).
– Secure the pump against twi-
sting using a spanner (fig. 3).
– In order to attain the correct ter-
minal box position the motor
housing can be turned after loo-
sening the motor fastening scr-
ews. The admissible terminal
box positions are shown in fig. 4.

Do not damage the
gasket - if neces-
sary use a new gas-
ket: l 86 x l 76 x 2.0
mm EP.
Avoid terminal
position 3h for pumps
for cool and cold water
circulation!
For units which are
to be insulated, only
the pump housing
may be insulated.
The motor and the
condensation water
holes must remain
free from all blocka-
ges (fig. 2, pos. 2).
All electrical connections
should be completed by a
qualified electrician. Current
