and adjust them.
• When making a slanted cut, place the left as well as the
right slicing chocks in the operational position.
• Use a screw vice to securely fasten the materials.
• Grasp the saw grip (3) and pull the slits (4) forwards
until the middle of the saw blade is above the front side
of the material (5).
• Pull on the release (6) in order to switch on the saw.
• When the saw has reached full speed, press the handles
slowly down through the upper edge of the materials.
• Move the handles slowly against the chock and bring the
cut to the end.
• Use the release and let the blade run down before the
saw head is moved up.
Setting the Cut Depth (fig. 23)
For straight and flat repeated cuts the cut depth can be
set in advance.
• Move the saw head down until the saw blade teeth have
reached the desired cut depth.
• While holding the upper arm in position, turn the stop
knob (1) until it has reached the stop plate (2).
• Check the depth of the blade and move the saw head
to it from the front to the back along the steering arm
through the complete area of a typical cut.
The Wave-laser Management
Your machine is equipped with our latest development, the
laser management a battery operated device that uses
class IIIa laser beams. The laser beams makes it possible
for you to predict the length of the bevel cut on the materi-
als before you begin sawing.
Danger: The laser is activated when the blade turns. Do not
look into the beam, even with optical instruments. Do not
remove the warning sign which is on the saw blade protec-
tion. Avoid direct eye contact with the light source.
Note: The red laser beam appears as a dotted line when
the motor is activated and the saw blade is in the highest
position. This dotted line allows you to adjust the markings
on the materials with the cutting line of the saw blade.
When the saw blade is brought downward the protection is
removed and the dotted line becomes a continuous laser
beam.
Laser Warning Sign: Maximumoutput <1 mW Diodenlaser:
630 – 670 nm. Complies with the norm EN608251.
Laser Operation
Saw blade unit in the most upright position:
• Place your materials on the bevelled saw.
• Switch the saw on to activate the laser beam.
• Make sure that the laser beam and the marking on your
materials are in agreement. (Warning: do not lower the
saw blade during the adjustments).
• Should the markings on the materials and the laser
beam not agree with each other, switch the machine off,
wait until the blade has come to a complete standstill
and adjust the position of the materials.
• Switch the saw on and check the line.
• Once agreement has been reached, fasten the materials
with a screw vice and carry out the cut.

Changing the Saw Blade (fig. 24, 25, 26)
Warning: To avoid unintentionally starting the saw, always
turn the switch off and pull out the plug before you change
the saw blade. Use correctly cut saw blades. Pay attention
to the given maximum speed and the tooth type indicated
on the saw blade. Exchange of blades and installation
must be carried out correctly. Only use saw blades of the
type recommended in the operating instructions.
Removal of the Saw Blade
Unplug the machine before you change saw blades or install
new ones.
• Raise the mitre box saw into the upright position.
• Raise the lower, transparent plastic saw blade protection
to the uppermost position (1, fig. 24).
• While holding onto the lower saw blade protection,
release the screw of the covering wing (2, fig. 24) by
means of a Phillips Head screwdriver.
• Turn the covering plate (3) so revealing the frame screw
(4).
• Place the blade key on the frame screw.
• Find the corrugated closure and hold this steady while
turning the blade in a clockwise direction. The corru-
gated closure will click in and adjusts the guard. Hold
the closure while turning the key in a clockwise direction
to release the bracing cylinder.
• Remove the bracing screw (4, fig. 26) and the bracing
cylinder (6, fig. 26) and the blade (7, fig. 26). Do not
remove the inner cylinder.
• Lift up the transparent plastic saw blade protection (1,
fig. 24) to the upright position in order to remove the
blade.
Note: pay close attention to the parts which you remove
and the way they were installed. Clean any sawdust away
from the cylinders before you install a new blade. The
304.8 mm blade has a 25.4 mm wave hole with a 15.875
reduction piece.
Installing the Saw Blade
Pull out the plug before you install or exchange the saw
blade.
• Install a 305 mm saw blade with a 16mm wave (or a
25.4 mm wave with a 16 mm reduction piece).
Please note that the directional arrow on the blade with
the arrow must correspond to the arrow that points in a
clockwise direction on the upper saw blade protection,
and that the saw blade teeth must point downward.
• Push the bracing cylinder (4, fig. 26) against the blade
and onto the waves. Turn the bracing screw (4, fig. 26)
into the wave in an anti-clockwise direction.
Important: See that the flat part of the cylinder ratchets
into the flat part of the wave shaft. Equally, the flat side of
the bracing cylinder must be flush with the blade.
• Place the blade key into the wave screw.
• Press on the wave closure (5, fig. 25) and hold it tightly
while turning the blade in an anti-clockwise direction.
When it clicks in, press the wave closure further down
and turn the bracing screw until it is tight.
• Return the covering plate (3, fig. 25) to its original posi-
tion until the slit in the covering plate corresponds with
the screw (2, fig 24). While holding the lower saw blade
protection tightly, tighten the screw with a Phillips Head
screwdriver.
Note: The lower saw blade protection must be raised in the
upright position in order to achieve access to the covering
plate screw.
