Controlling ignition sparks
Sparks can result in fi re or electrical shock.
Use a suitable spark detector
Never test ignition sparks with a removed sparkplug

Repair Work

Repairs may only be carried out by
authorized workshops or by our customer service
department.
Only use original replacement parts!

Maintenance and care

Danger!
Before callibration, maintenance and repair work,
always turn off the motor and secure it.
Before all maintenance and cleaning work, pull the
spark plug connector
Do not spray the equipment with water!
Penetrating water (ignition system, exhaust...) can
lead to disturbances
Clean the equipment after each use
Observe maintenance schedule
Adhere to the hourly/annual intervals, according to
which ever event occurs fi rst
When used under strained conditions, more
frequent maintenance is required
Changing airfi lter

Clean the air fi lter regularly. Replace damaged air
fi lter.

Removing air fi lter shroud. Loosen screw and take off
shroud.
2.
Take out foam fi lter and wash out in warm soapy water.
Only reinsert when dry.
3.
Reinstall air fi lter shroud.

Changing oil

Regularly check the oil level.
Check the oil level every 5 hours, or daily before
starting the motor (see oil recommendations).
Drain old oil from a warmer motor. Warm oil
drains quickly and completely.
1.
To catch the oil, place a suitable container under the
motor.
2.
Screw out the dipstick and allow oil to fl ow out
completely.
3.
New oil (SAE 10W-30, full quantity: 0.25 l).
Fill and screw in the dipstick.
No old oil:
put into the trash
into the sewage system or the drain
pour onto the earth

Sparkplug maintenance

Warning!
NEVER check with a removed sparkplug, whether or
not an ignition spark is present.
The electrical gap for the sparkplug should amount to
0.6 mm - 0.7 mm.
Never start the motor without a sparkplug
The wrong sparkplug can result in motor
damage.
