Filling with petrol (1)
ADVICE
The tank cap is on the petrol tank. It is
marked with the symbol "petrol station".
1. Remove petrol cap (1-2).
2. Fill tank up to the lower edge of the filler neck.
Do not overfill!
3. Replace petrol cap securely (1-2).
Fuel recommendations
Use clean, fresh, unleaded petrol with a mini-
mum octane rating of 85.
Buy fuel in quantities that can be used within
30 days (see Storage).
Petrol with up to 10% ethanol content or up to
15% MTBE content (antiknock agent) is ac-
ceptable.
Do not mix petrol with oil.
Start the engine and allow it to run only out-
doors

Do not use any pressurised starting fluid.
WARNING!
Rotating parts!
Keep limbs away from moving parts of
the appliance.
CAUTION!
Recoil hazard!
The starter rope can jump back to the
engine faster than the rope can be re-
leased.
Read the operating manual on the appliance
before putting the engine into operation
Only start the engine in the horizontal position
Check the oil level
Tie back long hair and remove any jewellery
Do not wear loose or baggy clothes
Wear sturdy, non-slip footwear
Do not operate the engine inclined at an
angle or more than 15°

Starting the engine
CAUTION!
Before starting to use the engine, re-
fer to the instructions for use of the
equipment.
Pull out the cable starter briskly, and then allow it
to wind back in slowly (1-7).
ADVICE
The engine has a fixed gas setting.
Speed control is not possible.
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Running engines generate heat. Engine
parts, in particular the exhaust, become
extremely hot.
Do not place your hands and feet close to any
rotating parts.
Keep flammable foreign matter away from the
exhaust and cylinder area
Allow the exhaust, cylinder and cooling ribs
to cool down before touching

STORAGE

CAUTION!
Do not store motor near open flames or
heating sources - Burn and/or explosion
danger!
Read the operating manual on the appliance
before putting the engine into storage.
Allow the engine to cool down.
Store the engine in a well-ventilated room, not
in the vicinity of naked flames or heat sources
Avoid storing in the following areas:
Close to naked flames
Close to heat sources
Where electric motors are in operation
Where electric tools are in operation
On engines which are to be stored for more
than 30 days, drain the fuel or protect with a
fuel stabiliser as otherwise deposits can form
in the fuel system
Filling with fuel and oil
