If Provox BasePlate adaptor looks dirty or have air dried in an area with risk
of contamination e.g. by contact with a pet, dropping on the floor or other gross
contamination, or if someone has a respiratory infection, Provox BasePlate
adaptor should be both cleaned and disinfected prior to use.
During hospitalization it is important to clean and disinfect Provox BasePlate
adaptor immediately after use and again just before use due to an increased
risk of infection and device contamination. Use sterile water for rinsing, rather
than drinking water.
Device lifetime
When in use, the maximum life span of the device is 3 months.
Disposal
Always follow medical practice and national requirements regarding biohazard
when disposing of a used medical device.
Reporting
Please note that any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device
shall be reported to the manufacturer and the national authority of the country
in which the user and/or patient resides.

Der Provox BasePlate Adaptor (Basisplatten-Adapter; im Weiteren als

„Adapter" bezeichnet) ist ein Zubehörprodukt für die Rehabilitation
nach einer totalen Laryngektomie. Er ermöglicht den Anschluss
von Medizinproduktem mit dem ISO-15-mm-Normkonnektor an
ein Tracheostoma, indem er in eine Provox Adhesive Basisplatte (im
Weiteren als „Basisplatte" bezeichnet) oder Provox LaryTube Kanüle
eingepasst wird.
Ein gängiges Anwendungsbeispiel ist der Anschluss einer HME mit
eingebautem Sauerstoffadapter (TrachPhone).
Zum Gebrauch bei einem einzigen Patienten.

Nicht zur mechanischen Beatmung verwenden.
