Temperature-dependent overload protection
The LI ion battery is equipped with NTC tempera-
ture monitoring which only permits charging within
EN
a temperature range of -5 °C - 45 °C. A long bat-
tery service life is achieved in this manner.
Battery care
Never charge batteries at temperatures lower
than -5°C or higher than 45°C.
Never charge batteries in an environment with
high air humidity or a high ambient temperature.
If the batteries are not used for a prolonged peri-
od, partly charge the batteries and store in a cool
place.
Charge the battery regularly to ensure maximum
service life. This is especially important if you no-
tice that the device is no longer functioning at full
power.
If you notice that you have to charge the battery
more and more frequently, it is spent and must be
replaced.
Observe the instructions for disposal.
Battery cap
A battery cap is enclosed in the delivery to allow
you to protect the contacts of the battery when it is
removed.
Fit this cap over the battery contacts when
storing, transporting or disposing of the bat-
tery.
If the battery cap is not fitted, loose metal parts
could short-circuit the contacts, creating a danger
of fire and explosion.
Battery charge level indicator
The five LEDs on the charge level indicator show
the level of the charge in the battery.
Press the button to display the charging status.
The charge level indicator LED goes out automat-
ically after approx. 5 seconds.
If a green LEDs flashes when the button is
pressed, the battery needs charging.
If a red LED flashes when the button is pressed,
the battery is too hot or too cold.
The charging process begins automatically as
soon as the battery reaches a temperature within
the permissible range.
360BPS-EN / 1205
While the battery is charging, the five LEDs light
up consecutively. The battery is fully charged
when the five LEDs all light up continuously at the
same time.
The five LEDs go out again approximately five
minutes after completion of the battery charging
process.
Operation
On/Off
Press or release the On/Off switch.
-NOTE-
At low outside temperatures: The tool requires a
minimum operating temperature for the hammer
mechanism to work. Switch on the tool, place
briefly on the ground and run at idle speed.
Repeat until the percussion starts.
Changing the speed/impact rate
The On/Off switch can be used for infinitely varia-
ble speed control. Light pressure on the On/Off
switch causes the machine to rotate slowly; with
increased pressure, the speed increases.
Select the direction of rotation
Operate the rotational direction switch only when
the machine is at a standstill!
Set the desired direction of rotation.
Clockwise rotation:
For drilling and fixing screws.
Anticlockwise rotation:
For loosening and removing screws
and nuts.
Important! Always press the rotational direction
switch up to the stop on the housing, i. e. until you
feel it engage.
If the rotational direction switch is set between the
positions "R" and "L", the machine cannot be
switched on.
Selecting the modes of operation
The operational mode switch can be used to se-
lect the required settings.
The switchover can be performed best at stand-
still.
