5. Troubleshooting

Table 5-1 provides troubleshooting information for the DLA2RF Speaker Selector.

Possible Cause
1. Source not playing.
2. Room not selected
3. Room Output volume
turned all the way down

in protection mode
1. Ground loop
2. Receiver/Amplifi er
level too high
1. Clipping or distortion

cables or speaker cables
Solution
Press Play, turn ON, etc.
Select Room on Front
Panel or from RF Remote
Increase volume
a. Test known good
speaker at back panel
speaker connector
b. Verify connections
Perform steps above
Turn On Amplifi er/Re-
ceiver or increase
volume
Find cause of amplifi er's
protection mode and cor-
rect. Miswired speakers
most likely cause. Verify
that the impedance lev-
els of the amp and
speaker are not lower
than 8 Ohms.
Ensure proper ground-
ing using a three prong
grounded AC outlet.
Reduce level
Reduce Receiver/Am-
plfi er level
of each speaker
Isolate to source or room
and correct
