INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
The product is shipped as a learning scooter. That means the rear axle is
equipped with two rollers. Please read how the learning scooter is converted
under "conversion".
ASSEMBLY
Secure the work surface with a mat or cover before you begin assembling
the product.
In order to attach the handlebar, please first loosen the screws of the clamp
at its lower tube end. Mount the handlebar on the tube end of the front fork,
as far as it will go.
Align the handlebar at a right angle to the front wheel. Make sure that the
handlebar is completely resting on the tube end and retighten the screws on
the clamp securely.
CONVERSION
Before you begin with the conversion of the learning scooter into the scooter,
you should first protect the work surface with a mat or blanket.
Loosen the two screws on the rear footboard with the Allen key (3 mm) (Fig. 1)
and remove the cover (Fig. 2).
Loosen the screw on the mounted axle with an Allen wrench (5 mm). You
should thereby use the other Allen Key (5 mm) to counter your action (Fig. 3).
Remove the loosened roller.
Carefully pull the mounted axle on the still attached roller from the footboard.
The spacer should thereby loosen by itself.
Guide the axle cover of the short rear axle from one end half-way through the
axle groove. Insert a spacer sleeve on the axle sleeve. Then plug the roller
on the axle sleeve and finally again a spacer sleeve (Fig. 4), before in turn
inserting the axle sleeve also through the other opening of the deck. Fix the
last axle sleeve with the axle screw with the help of the Allen key (5 mm),
thereby countering it if necessary.
Screw the brake plate over the roller on the footboard using the Allen key (3
mm). (Fig. 5)
To convert the scooter in to learning scooter you should execute the described
assembly steps in reverse order.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Use a dry or damp cloth only to clean the product; do not use special cleaning
agents! Check the product for damage or traces of wear and tear before and after
each use. Do not make any structural changes. For your own safety, please use
original spare parts only. These can be sourced from HUDORA. If parts become
damaged or if sharp edges or corners should develop, the product may not be
used any more. If in any doubt, please contact our service team (http://www.
hudora.de/service/). Store the product in a safe place where it is protected from
the elements, cannot be damaged, and cannot injure anyone.
BEARINGS
Your kick scooter is equipped with precision ball bearings, which were filled
with grease under high pressure, during manufacture. For this reason, the
rollers of the kick scooter only run lightly and swiftly, while under load. Bearings
are maintenance-free, but they are wear parts. Caution! Worn bearings make
conspicuous audible noises and their function is constrained. In order to maintain
optimal riding pleasure and to ensure lasting safety, you should replace bearings,
as soon as they begin to exhibit signs of being worn. In the case of full load and
daily use we recommend the replacement of the rollers and bearings twice a
year. Bearings are available as accessories under http://www.hudora.de/.
DISPOSAL ADVICE
At the end of the product's life, please dispose of it at an appropriate collection
point provided in your area. Local waste management companies will be able to
answer your questions on this.
