Replacing the light bulbs.

WARNING
Before replacing a burned-out light bulb, the refrigerator should be unplugged in order to avoid contact with a
live wire filament. (A burned-out light bulb may break when being replaced.)
Turning the control to the OFF position does not remove power to the light circuit.

drawers

Refrigerator Lights

Unplug the refrigerator.
To remove the light shield, grasp the shield
at the back and pull out to release the tabs
at the back.
Rotate the shield down and then forward to
release the tabs at the front of the shield.
Freezer Light
Unplug the refrigerator.
Remove the freezer basket for access. The
bulb is located at the rear of the freezer
inside a light shield.
To remove, grasp the shield at the top and
pull out to release the tabs at the bottom.
Middle Lights
Unplug the refrigerator.
The bulbs are located behind the crisper
drawers. To remove the drawers, lift up
slightly while pulling the drawer past the
stop location.
Replace the bulbs with appliance bulbs
of the same or lower wattage.
Replace crisper drawers by sliding them
gently back onto the tracks while lifting up
slightly.
Plug the refrigerator back in.
After replacing with an appliance bulb of
the same or lower wattage, replace the
shield.
Plug the refrigerator back in.
NOTE: Appliance bulbs may be ordered from
GE Parts and Accessories, 800.626.2002.
After replacing with an appliance bulb of
the same or lower wattage, replace the
shield and freezer basket.
Plug the refrigerator back in.
