dynadock™ U3.0
How Standby/Sleep or Hibernation Mode Affects Devices Attached to
the dynadock™
External Monitors
The external monitor connected to the dynadock will go blank if the
computer goes into Standby/Sleep or Hibernation Mode.
When in Mirror Mode, the external monitor keeps the same settings it had
before the computer went into Standby/Sleep or Hibernation Mode once
the computer returns to an active state.
When in Extend Mode, windows that were previously on the external
monitor will not move back to that external monitor once the computer
returns to an active state.
Also, if the external monitor is in Extend Mode and the computer requires a
login after Standby/Sleep or Hibernation Mode, the login screen appears on
the primary computer monitor, not the external monitor. This is consistent
with Windows
Other Devices
If another device is connected to a port on the dynadock and the computer
goes into Standby/Sleep or Hibernation Mode, that device will not function.
For example, if you are using the Ethernet port for high-speed network
access, network access will not be available until the computer returns to
an active state.
Configuring Audio Ports
You can playback or record audio either through the dynadock's audio ports
or the docked computer's audio ports. However, you cannot use the audio
ports on the docked computer and on the dynadock at the same time.
Upon docking connection, the audio ports on the dynadock™ may become
enabled and the audio ports on the computer disabled. When you undock
the computer, the audio ports on the computer are automatically
re-enabled.
To change the default settings, you may need to manually adjust the audio
settings in Windows
If there is no audio device connected to the dynadock, the computer's
NOTE
audio ports are automatically enabled.
If your media player is running when you undock or dock, you must close
NOTE
the application and wait approximately 10-15 seconds for the new settings
to take effect before restarting the application.
Audio devices connected to the dynadock via the 3.5 mm audio jacks will
NOTE
appear as dynadock Audio device in Windows
