12. Periodically inspect the harness for wear, paying particular attention to
the fastening points, stitching and adjustment devices.
13. The rigid elements and plastic parts of a child safety seat must be
positioned and installed so that, during the everyday use of the vehicle,
they do not become trapped by a fold down seat or in the door of the
vehicle.
14. Always make sure that any straps securing the safety seat to the vehicle
are tight, any straps securing the child should be adjusted to fit the
child's body, and check that the straps are not be twisted.
15. Make sure that the abdominal straps are positioned low down and fit
snugly, so that the child's pelvis is held securely.
16. The safety seat should be replaced if it has been subjected to a violent
impact in an accident.
17. The instructions should be stored in the child safety seat.
18. Do not use any load bearing contact points other than those described
in the instructions and marked on the safety seat.
19. Store this child safety seat in a safe place when it is not being used.
20. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the seat. Do not allow your child
safety seat to come into contact with corrosive substances e.g. battery
acid.
21. The child safety seat must not be used without the cover. The seat cover
should not be replaced with any other than the one recommended by
the manufacturer, because the cover forms an integral part of the safety
system.
