11. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

11.1. STORAGE
• Always store ear plugs in the charging case.
• Clean the product before storage.
• Examine the product for wear or damage.
• Keep the product in a clean and dry area within a
temperature range of : -4°F/-20°C to 122°F/50°C.
• Do not put the product in sunlight during storage.
11.2. DISPOSAL
• Obey national regulations.
• To properly dispose of the battery, follow local solid waste
disposal regulations.
• Use the local recycling system for electronic equipment.
11.2.1. BATTERY DISPOSAL
Many rechargeable batteries are required to be recycled by
local, state/province, and national laws. To properly recycle/
dispose of the battery or battery pack, always follow local solid
waste disposal regulations.
11.2.2. TEP-300 DISPOSAL
The TEP-300 earplugs contain a non-replaceable lithium-ion
battery. Many rechargeable batteries are required to be
recycled by local, state/province, and national laws. To properly
recycle/dispose of the battery, always follow local solid waste
disposal regulations.
12. MAINTENANCE
• Examine the earplugs regularly for damage. A damaged
earpiece or dirty and/or damaged eartips must be replaced.
Refer to "13. Accessories".
12.1. TO CLEAN THE PRODUCT
12.1.1. TO CLEAN THE CHARGING CASE
• Keep the interior of the charging case free from dust and
debris.
• Clean the charging points with a cotton swab or soft cloth.
• Keep the seal ring of the charging case free from dirt and
other materials that would prevent proper closing of the
charging case.
• Make sure the USB-C charging port cover is closed during
cleaning.
12.1.2. TO CLEAN THE TEP-300 EARPLUGS
• Clean the earplugs with a lightly damp cloth.
• Clean the charging contacts with a cotton swab.
12.1.3. TO CLEAN THE 3M™ ULTRAFIT™
COMMUNICATION EARTIPS
• Clean eartips with warm water and soap as needed.
• Look for tears or cracks under any of the flanges. Replace if
needed.
12.1.4. TO CLEAN THE 3M SKULL SCREW AND
3M PELTOR CCC-GRM-25 COMMUNICATOIN EARTIPS
• Clean by wiping with a clean, dry cloth.
• Replace the eartip if the eartip is damaged.
• Replace the eartip if it is detached from the stem.
• Replace the eartip if the eartip is not soft and pliable.
