Intended use
Water meters are used exclusively to measure
drinking water consumption. Depending on their
version, they are either suitable for cold water or
hot water. Alteration of the water meters is not
permitted.

If a sealed meter is damaged or removed by a
person not authorised by Techem, the calibrati-
on is no longer valid.
Safety and hazard information
Observe hygiene in the drinking water area:
Ö Only remove the meter from its packaging direct-
ly before installation.
Ö Contact and contamination of surfaces which are
in contact with drinking water must be avoided
at all costs.
Ö Only use lubricants permitted for drinking water,
e.g. Techem-Hahnfett (item no. 160958)!
Over-tightening of the screw joint causes
damage.
Ö Do not over-tighten screws.
Damage due to leaky parts:
Ö Check sealing surfaces and clean them as
necessary.
Ö Test the screw thread.
Billing error:
Ö Do not install water meters in circulation con-
duits.
Ö Observe the flow direction!
Radio module for on-wall water meter radio
Ö Battery replacement is neither required nor
approved.
