UPDATING THE FIRMWARE OF THE AC PLUS CENTRAL UNIT

The firmware of the mini-central unit can be updated with new versions, to incorporate
new functions (as and when they appear) or new improvements in the functioning of the
central unit
To update the firmware, you need the "Update.exe" application (supplied with the central
unit); carry out the following steps:
1. Disconnect power from the central unit
2. Connect the PC-Central Unit connection interface (see PC-Central Unit Connection
section)
3. Put dipswitch 4 of SW1 of the AC PLUS central unit to ON
4. Re-connect the power supply to the central unit LEDs X and Y blink alternatively.
5. Execute the "Update.exe" application
5.2-In the "Central Unit" box, enter the number of the AC PLUS central unit to be updated
(configured at dipswitches 1 to 5 of the SW2) and press the "CON" button to establish
communication with the central unit.
If communication is possible, the "Update" button is activated; if not, the Update button remains
deactivated (check the connection between the central unit and the PC).
5.3- Press the "Update" button; the following screen appears:
6. Once the firmware has been updated, press the "DIS" button to end the connection
and the "Exit" button to close the "Update" application
With the power supply still on, put dipswitch 4 of the SW1 to OFF
If the update has been carried out correctly, the two LEDs X and Y will go off (or X will
go on if the central unit is in Day or Transfer mode).
If it is incorrect, the two LEDs will blink at the same time.
The street panels display shows the version of firmware when started up.

5.1-In the "Setup" menu, configure the following parameters:
- Mode. Select the CAC option.
- COM Port: Select the PC serial port via which the PC is
connected (through interface 2338, 2466, etc.) to the central
unit/installation.
Press the "Select" button in "Program File",
select the firmware (.bin) file you want to load
into the mini-central unit and press "OK".
Uploading takes approximately 72 seconds at
38,400 bauds.
The messages file can also be updated by
selecting the .bin messages file using the
select button of "Messages file".
