Preparation -Before Installation
1. After opening the kit, check to see if any parts are missing
and that the product is not damaged.
2. This product should be installed with proper installation
tools.
3. Install this product while observing all warnings and precau-
tions stated in this instruction booklet.
4. VERY IMPORTANT: Begin with a thoroughly washed ve-
hicle.
5. Ambient temperature of sill plates and vehicle must be 70°F
to 80°F at the time of installation and for two hours after.
6. Do not high pressure wash for twenty-four hours.
Installation Instructions
1. Remove existing production sill plate (Figure 1).
2. Remove residual adhesive using VMP naptha.
3. Wipe area where sill plate is to be applied using supplied
alcohol prep pad.
4. Apply masking tape to vehicle to align the sill plate decal
edge with end of the Interior Trim Molding (Figure 2).
5. Apply masking tape across the top of the part and tape sill
plate into position as shown (Figure 3).
6. Use tape as "hinge" to flip sill plate up, remove liner.
7. Carefully flip sill plate down. Press firmly in center with soft
cloth, squeegeeing from the center outward.
8. Remove masking tape.
9. Repeat steps 1 through 8 for opposite side of vehicle.
