Required tools
7mm Socket
10mm Socket
Flat-Bladed Plastic Trim Tool
Installation Instructions:
1. Turn off all lamps and accessories.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Open hood.
4. Loosen the negative cable nut.
5. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery terminal.
6. Reposition the negative battery cable away from the battery.
For vehicles with RPO SLT instrument panel.
7. Remove headlamp switch trim plate assembly from instrument
panel (1). Figure 1

8. Disconnect the electrical connector to the headlamp switch (2).
9. Remove headlamp switch from trim plate assembly.
Go to Step 17

10. Remove park brake release handle bolt (1). Slide park brake
release handle forward to remove from knee bolster. Figure 2

11. Remove left side instrument panel outer trim cover (1).

12. Remove knee bolster screws (2).
13. Remove knee bolster from instrument panel (3).
14. Remove left side instrument panel switch trim plate assem-
bly from instrument panel (1). Figure 4
