Instruction Sheet
Tools Required:
T25 Screwdriver
Flat Plastic Trim Stick
Installation Procedure:
NOTE: Procedure same for all doors, except Driver's Door
Cap has a Key Hole.
1. Open the door to access Plug and Fastener (Items 1 & 2 -
Figure 1).
2. Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove Bolt Access Plug.
Save Plug for reuse.
3. Loosen Bolt with T25 Screwdriver UNTIL THE CAP IS FREE;
THE BOLT DOES NOT NEED TO BE REMOVED as it also
threads into the inside handle housing.
4. Rotate Handle outboard and remove Cap (Item 3 - Figure 1).
5. Pull the outside handle rearward to release it from the inside
handle housing; if Gasket (item 4 - Figure 1) comes loose
reinstall prior to new handle installation.
6. With Gasket in place, install the new Handle (Item 5 - Figure
1) by sliding the handle forward WHILE HOLDING THE
HANDLE AGAINST THE DOOR to engage the forward pivot
and the latch mechanism. Installer should feel handle "pop"
into place. Check Handle for proper function.
7. Install the new Cap (Item 3) and tighten Bolt (Item 2) to 9 Nm.
8. Re-Install the Bolt Access Plug (Item 1).
9. Repeat this procedure for other Door Handles.
