3.7 - Walls in the vicinity of the appliance
Install the fireplace ready to set up at a minimum 300
mm
distance
from
accommodation and from any combustible material.
The appliance should be installed on a fire-proof floor.
In order to protect the floor from heat radiation and
possible falling combustible, install the unit on
reflective metal shielding (or on a tiled floor) which
covers the entire surface underneath and in front of
the unit.
The apparatus should be installed on a floor with
sufficient bearing capacity. If an existing building does
not meet this precondition, proper measures should
be taken (for example, the installation of a load
spreading plate) to enable the floor to bear the
apparatus.
4 - INSTALLATION OF THE APPLIANCE (Fig. 5 and
6)
Screws provided (Fig. 7)
To remove the knockouts in the various shields,
simply use a ∅ 6 drill bit to overdrill the ∅ 2 mm
marks.
To make the installation of the appliance easier,
it's necessary to remove the décor façade by
lifting it up and then pulling it forward.
Remove the device to hide the pipe by sliding it
forward and lifting it up (Fig. 12).
Dismantle the screen of the wall of the upper
device to hide the pipe (2 screws).
The ensemble to hide the pipe is modular; it
allows you to set up from 2.4 to 2.7 metres under
ceiling without any modification. You only need to
adapt the joining conduit.
2 installation configurations are possible :
•
CONNECTION ON TOP (FIG 5 AND FIG 14)
Dismantle the ceiling screen from the wall screen
and remove the circular pre-cut (Fig. 8). Draw the
axis of the appliance (Fig. 10) and fix to the wall
screen. It is imperative to pierce the first row of
holes 32 mm from the ceiling (Fig. 14) to
guarantee the 3 mm (Fig. 10) that are necessary
to install the device to hide the pipe.
Install the appliance against the wall.
Install the joining conduit with the ceiling screen
and fix the latter (Fig. 14).
Install the upper device to hide the pipe on the wall
screen and fix it. (Fig. 12).

CONNECTION AT REAR (FIG 6 AND FIG 13)
On the wall screen, remove the hexagonal pre-cut
(Fig. 9). Draw the axis of the appliance (Fig. 10),
pierce the wall and the conduit 1155mm from the
ceiling (Fig. 6), it is necessary to respect a
perimeter in noncombustible materials around the
joining conduit (Fig. 4). Fix the wall screen, it is
imperative to pierce the first range of holes 32 mm
from the ceiling (Fig. 13) to guarantee the 3 mm
(Fig. 10) that are necessary to install the device to
hide the pipe.
Install the joining conduit on the appliance after
having adapted the landmark pipe 5 of the Fig. 6.
Install the ensemble against the wall (Fig. 11).
Install the upper device to hide the pipe on the wall
screen and fix it. (Fig. 12).
Install the lower device to hide the pipe (Fig. 12).
Put back together the décor façade (Fig. 13).
5 - FIREPLACE OPERATION
•
This "closed insert" fireplace is a veritable
heating appliance :
Heigh yield.
-
Long-lasting, reduced burn rate operation.
-
5.1 - Commissioning
•
After first lighting the fire (see paragraph 5.4.1),
burn a moderate fire for the first few hours, by
limiting the load (one ∅15 cm log) and set the air
intake control lever in the middle position (Fig.
15) : this enables the temperature of all chimney
elements to rise progressively and ensures
normal fireplace dilation.
•
The smell of paint may be detected initially.
Ventilate the room to limit this discomfort.
•
Do not connect the appliance to a conduit linked
to several appliances.
