This document applies to the professional maintenance of the following products:
• Geberit sanitary flush Rapid
• Geberit sanitary flush Rapid, control unit
Target group
Maintenance and repair work on this product may only be performed by skilled persons. A
skilled person is a person who, due to their specialist education, training and/or
experience, is able to recognise risks and avoid hazards that may arise when using the
product.
Intended use
Geberit sanitary flushes are intended for automatic, periodic water replacement in drinking
water installations. Using them for any other purpose is deemed improper. Geberit accepts
no liability for the consequences of improper use.
General safety notes
• Do not modify the product or add any additional modules.
• Repairs may only be carried out by a skilled person using original spare parts and
accessories.
• Provide a stop valve upstream of Geberit sanitary flush Rapid.
• Do not remove the battery during a flushing process. Solenoid valve does not close
automatically if battery is removed.
• Protect from direct sunlight. Exposure to direct sunlight can discolour the control unit
cover.
Safety notes for sanitary flush Rapid with trap
• Only operate the Geberit sanitary flush Rapid in an upright position.
• Mount the Geberit sanitary flush Rapid on the wall using 4 fastening screws.
• Do not install an additional trap in the discharge pipe. The Geberit sanitary flush Rapid
has an integrated trap.
• Should the drain become clogged, water can leak from the Geberit sanitary flush Rapid
overflow.
Safety notes for Geberit control unit for sanitary flush Rapid
• Only connect the control unit to a securely mounted supply pipe.
• Do not immerse the control unit in water.
• Ensure a distance of at least 20 mm between the outlet and discharge pipe (free outlet in
accordance with DIN EN 1717:2011-08).
