Removal of production fuel door assembly
1. Remove fuel cap strap from fuel door hinge.
2. Remove the push pin on the bottom of the fuel cup (see
Figure 1A).
3. Loosen the two bolts on the top of the fuel cup (see Figure
1A).
4. Remove the bolts from the fuel tank filler door as shown in
Figure 1A.

5. Push back on the fuel filler cup to allow for clearance of the
hinge and remove the fuel tank filler door from behind the
flange.

Installation of chrome fuel door assembly
1. Align fuel tank filler door hinge behind the flange on quarter
panel.
2. Install the bolts to the fuel tank filler door.
3. Tighten the fuel tank filler door bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
4. Tighten the bolts on the top of the fuel filler cup to 5 N.m.
5. Reinstall the push pin at the bottom of the fuel filler cup.
6. Install the fuel cap strap to the hinge of the new fuel door.
