If the Elica hob is purchased at a later stage
Complete the operations described below then repeat the
operations described in the paragraph, "If an Elica hob is

Reactivation of the module for connection between the
hood and Elica hob:
With the hood switched off, simultaneously press buttons
and for over 10 seconds; the hood will emit a
long beep to signal activation.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Clean using ONLY the cloth dampened with neutral liquid
detergent. DO NOT
INSTRUMENTS. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE
ALCOHOL!
Maintenance of the drain pan.
The glass slide placed in the front drain pan allows you to
check when the pan is full and must be emptied and cleaned.
The pan must be emptied and cleaned anyway AT LEAST
once a week or more frequently, based on the use of the
hood.
The pan can be washed manually or in the dishwasher at low
temperature and short cycle. Fig. 25

This must be cleaned once a month (or when the filter
saturation indication system – if envisaged on the model in
possession – indicates this necessity) using non aggressive
detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must
be set to a low temperature and a short cycle.
When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolour
slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
To remove the grease filter, pull the spring release handle.
Charcoal filter (filter version only)

It absorbs unpleasant odours caused by cooking.
The saturation of the charcoal filter occurs after more or less
prolonged use, depending on the type of cooking and the
regularity of cleaning of the grease filter.
In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least

system – if envisaged on the model in possession – indicates
this necessity).The charcoal filter may NOT be washed or
regenerated.
Circular carbon filter
Apply one on each side as cover to both the shield grids of the
motor impeller, then turn clockwise.
For the disassembly, turn counter-clockwise.
Replacing lamps
The hood is equipped with a lighting system based on LED
technology.
The LEDs guarantee an optimum lighting, a duration up to 10
times as long as the traditional lamps and allow to save 90%
electrical energy.
