HOW TO MAKE BREAD
1.
Put the baking pan in place and then press downwards until it fits into the correct position. Attach the kneading blades to the shafts.
Turn the blades in a clockwise direction until fixed in position. It is advisable to fill the holes with heat resistant margarine before
attaching the kneading blades as this prevents the dough from sticking to the blades and so that the blades can be easily separated
from the bread.
2.
Put the ingredients into the baking pan. Follow the order given in the recipe. As a general rule the water or other liquid should be
added first, then add the sugar, salt and flour. The yeast or dried yeast should always be the last ingredient added. Where you are
making heavy dough with large quantities of rye or other wholemeal grains, we would recommend that you reverse the order of the
ingredients; that is, put the dried yeast and flour in first and finally add the liquid. This will produce better dough.
3.
Make a small indentation in the flour. Add the yeast, making sure that it does not come into contact with the liquid ingredients or
the salt.
4.
Close the lid carefully and connect the cable to the power supply. Always plug the cable into the appliance before plugging it into
the wall socket.
5.
Press the Menu button to select the programme you want.
6.
Press the COLOR button to select the crust colour you would like.
7.
Press the SIZE button to select the desired size (800 gr or 1000 gr).
8.
Set a different start time by pressing the TIME button. You can skip this phase if the multicooker is going to start operating
immediately.
9.
Press the START / STOP button to start the appliance. The indicator light is always illuminated when the appliance is operating.
10. During the BÁSICO (BASIC), FRANCÉS (FRENCH), INTEGRAL (WHOLEMEAL), DULCE (SWEET), SIN GLUTEN (GLUTEN
FREE), programmes a long beep will be heard when the programme is running. This is to advise you that you need to add
ingredients. Open the lid and add the ingredients. It is possible that vapour will escape through the ventilation holes while the
appliance is working. This is normal.
11. When the programme is completed 10 beeps will be heard. Press the START / STOP button for approximately 3 - 5 seconds to
stop the process and remove the bread. Open the lid using oven gloves. Hold the handles of the baking pan firmly and gently lift
the pan upwards and out of the appliance.
Warning: the baking pan and the bread can be very hot! Always handle carefully.
12. Let the bread cool before removing it. Then use a non stick spatula to separate the bread from the sides of the baking pan.
13. Turn the baking pan over onto a metal cooling rack or a clean kitchen surface and shake it carefully until the bread falls onto the rack.
14. Carefully remove the loaf from the pan and let it cool for 20 minutes before cutting it.
15. If, when the programme finishes, you are not present or if you do not press the START / STOP button, the bread will automatically
be kept warm for a further 1 hour and then the appliance will switch itself off.
Note: Occasionally the kneading blade will stay in the loaf. Wait until the bread cools.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and let it cool before cleaning.
1.
Baking pan: Wipe the inside and outside with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp or abrasive products to avoid damaging the non-stick
surface. You must dry the baking pan completely before putting it in position.
2.
Kneading blades: If it is difficult to remove the blades from the axles, fill the container with hot water and leave for 30 minutes. It
will then be easy to remove the blades to clean them. Clean the blades carefully with a damp cotton cloth. Remember that both the
baking pan and the kneading blades can be washed in a dish washer.
3.
Housing: gently clean the outer surface with a damp cloth. Do not use coarse or abrasive products to clean it as these will damage
the shiny surface. Never submerge the housing in water to clean it.
4.
Before storing the multicooker, make sure that it is completely cold, clean and dry and that the lid is closed.
5.
Do not wash the measuring beaker, the measuring spoon or the kneader in the dishwasher.
6.
Do not leave the baking pan soaking in water for long periods as this can negatively affect the operation of the motor axle.
