13.Remove the jar/bottle. Use bottle tongs 6 to
do so to prevent you being burned by the hot
surfaces.
If you do not end "Keep warm" mode manually,
the appliance initially switches to the cooling-

down phase and then goes to standby.

6.3 Switching the appliance off
early
You can end heating/keep warm mode at any
time by pressing dial 8 until infrared lamp 5 goes
out.

6.4 Correcting the setting

As soon as the heating phase is running, turning
dial 8 no longer has any effect on heating time.
To correct a setting, proceed as outlined below.
1. Press dial 8 to end heating/keep warm mode.
2. Allow the appliance to cool down if it was
previously in use and is still hot.
Warning! To avoid the risk of electric
shock, injury or damage:
– take the plug out of the socket before
cleaning the appliance.
– allow the appliance to cool down
before cleaning it.
– never immerse base 1 in water (see
Fig. E).
Caution! Under no circumstances use abrasive,
corrosive or scratching cleaning agents, as
these could damage the appliance.
3. Initially turn dial 8 to the far left.
4. Select the new heating time by turning dial 8
to the appropriate setting.
5. Start heating mode again by pressing dial 8.

6.5 Temperature monitor

The appliance is equipped with a temperature
sensor to protect the electronics. This interrupts
operation if too high an internal temperature is
reached. After a cooling-down period of
approximately 10 minutes, the appliance can be
switched back on.

6.6 Overheating cutout

The appliance also has an overheating cutout to
rule out the risk of fire in the event of
overheating. If it trips, this device can only be
replaced by a specialist or by the manufacturer.
Contact the relevant service address (see
"Contact addresses" on page 99) for this
purpose.

7. Cleaning

7.1 Cleaning the base

1. Clean base 1 using a damp cloth. You can
also use a little detergent.
2. Wipe over with clean water.
3. Only use the appliance again when it is
completely dry.
Note If the inside of glass dish 4 is heavily
soiled, you can also use glass cleaner or a
ceramic hob cleaning product to clean it.
