• When the desired quantity of coffee has been reached,
press the coffee brew button again to stop brewing,
and remove the cups of coffee.
• (Fig.22) - Wait a few seconds after brewing, then
remove the portafilter and empty the remaining coffee
grounds.
note for cleaning: always remove the ground
coffee filter from the portafilter, and rinse
both parts thoroughly under running water (see
section 9).

Danger of burns! Brewing may be preceded by
small jets of hot water. the spout can reach
high temperatures: never touch it with bare hands.
• (Fig.4) - If the machine is off, switch it on by means
of the power button.
• The machine ready light flashes. Wait until it remains
permanently on.
• (Fig.23) - Press the steam button. The machine will
enter another warm-up phase.
During the warming phase, the machine ready light
flashes. Wait until it is permanently on. The machine
is now ready to dispense steam.
Warning: never use steam when the
cappuccinatore or the Pannarello have been
removed. Danger of burns!
• (Fig.24) - Direct the cappuccinatore towards the drip
tray; open the "hot water/steam" knob for a few seconds
to drain any residual water left in the cappuccinatore.
Afterwards, only steam will come out of the spout.
• Close the "hot water/steam" knob.
Note: Some jets of hot water may flow out of
the suction tube. in this case, direct the tube
towards the drip tray.
• (Fig.25) - Insert the suction tube into a container of
milk.
• (Fig.26) - Place a cup below the cappuccinatore,
ensuring that it is on a stable surface.
• Open the "hot water/steam" knob and dispense milk
into the cup.
• (Fig.27) - Set the desired froth level by adjusting the
peg; higher position = thicker froth.
• When finished, close the "hot water/steam" knob.
to clean the knob, insert the suction tube
into a water container and start dispensing
steam. Drain the water into a container until only
clear water flows out.
• (Fig.28) - Press the steam button again.
• If the machine ready light flashes quickly, it means
that the temperature is too high.
• Prime the circuit as described in section 4.5 to make
the machine ready for use.
note: the machine is ready when the machine
ready light is permanently on.
note: if it is not possible to make a cappuccino
or to clean the cappuccinatore as described,
prime the circuit as explained in section 4.5. then
repeat the operations.

Hot Water DisPensinG
Danger of burns!
Brewing may be preceded by short sprays
of hot water. the brewing spout may reach high
temperatures: never touch it with bare hands.
• (Fig.4) - If the machine is off, switch it on by means
of the power button.
• The machine ready light flashes. Wait until it remains
permanently on.
• (Fig.29) - Remove the cappuccinatore by pulling it
outwards.
Warning: never dispense hot water with the
cappuccinatore or Pannarello removed. Danger
of burns!
• (Fig.30-31) - Insert the Pannarello completely onto
the steam arm, and turn it 90° counter-clockwise.
• (Fig.32) - Place a container under the steam spout
(Pannarello).
• Open the "hot water/steam" knob by turning it counter-
clockwise.
• (Fig.33) - Press the coffee brew button to dispense
water until the desired quantity is reached.
