Malfunctions

Malfunction overview

The following chart shows possible malfunctions and the necessary
measures.
Symptom
Tacker is losing air.
Fasteners are not driven
in completely.
Triggering is not
possible.
Triggering without a
fastener being driven in

Possible cause
The fastening screws
are loose.
A seal is defective.
The operating
pressure is too low.
The driver tip on the
tacker is worn.
The operating
pressure is too low.
Moving parts are stuck
together with lubricant
following a long
storage period.
The magazine is
contaminated.
The wrong fasteners
were loaded in the
magazine
Corrective measure
 Tighten fastening screws.
 Contact Service (see
page 34).
 Increase the operating
pressure.
 Contact Service (see
page 34).
 Increase operating
pressure of compressed
air system to the
maximum permissible
level (see page 15).
 Then actuate the trigger
several times.
 Clean tacker and oil it
again.
 Set maximum operating
pressure.
 Then actuate the trigger
several times.
 After triggering, set the
desired operating
pressure.
 Otherwise contact
Service (see page 34).
 Clean the magazine.
 Empty the magazine.
 Fill the magazine with
PREBENA fasteners
(see page 17).
