Tip: If a dent starts to smoke, remove the shapeable induction line from the area immediately.
This is the point at which the paint will begin to bubble. Be careful when dealing with white
or light-coloured paints. These light-coloured paints tend to turn yellow sooner than dark
colours.
Troubleshooting: If the dent does not seem to be shrinking, may be a there crease in the
metal, or the metal has been stretched too far.
8. Using the flexible induction line
Function: The flexible induction line is used, to release a joint element from an axle
housing, to free fixed sensors and to remove ball joints.
Expanding a workpiece to remove an interlocking part.
1. Carry out section 5, "Preparation for use".
2. Insert both ends of the flexible induction line into the electrodes and tighten the
locking screws.
3. Wrap the line at least 3 times around the workpiece to be expanded.
Tip: The more coil windings you have, the faster it heats up.
4. Insert the other end into the remaining open electrode and tighten the locking screw.
5. Switch on the induction heater.
6. Heat the workpiece until it is wide enough to remove the joint element.
7. Release the On/Off button and loosen both locking screws to remove the flexible
induction line.
