9. Using the round induction spiral
Function: The induction spiral is used to remove labels, adhesive foils, graphics, emblems,
small edge protection mouldings and bar codes.
Removing glued parts.
1. Carry out section 5, "Preparation for use".
2. Insert both ends of the induction spiral into the electrodes and tighten the locking screws.
3. Switch on the induction heater.
4. Touch the end of the part to be removed for a few secons with the induction spiral.
As soon as an end starts peeling off, pull the part you want to remove outwards,
with constant pressure. Touch the part with the induction spiral again, moving it downwards
while you maintain outward pressure, until the part has been removed completely.
10. Troubleshooting
1. The induction heater switches itself off when it overheats, however, the electrodes do
not have protection against overheating. This is the reason for a work cycle (see section E.
Safety regulations). If the induction heater switches off suddenly - the LED lamp changes
colour from white to yellow - make sure that the power supply is not interrupted.
2. If you are using an extension cord, make sure there are no kinks in it. Let the device cool
down for at least 15 minutes and then try again.
3. If the problem persists, please contact your dealer.
11. Disassembly and storage
Switch off the induction heater and allow the device and all work coils to cool down for at
least 30 minutes before you disassemble or clean it, or before you put it into storage. Han-
dling the device or its parts before they have cooled down, can lead to burns. Storing the
device while still hot can cause damage to parts of the equipment, or pose a fire hazard.
1. When you have finished work, switch off the induction heater by releasing the On/Off
button. Make sure that the internal fan stops.
2. Disconnect it from its power source.
3. After having cooled down, place the device, and the coils into the foam cutouts in the
storage case.
