21. Cut the handrail segments 140053 to size; assemble them with part 046011. For optimal fastening, the
handrail must be turned about 1/8 turn from the contact point.
22. Secure the handrail to the balusters using parts 002031 holding the balusters in vertical position. Fit
the elbow parts 033103, 033105 and 033107 with the screws 012014 and 001017 for the changes in
direction. Fit the end caps 033103 to the ends of the handrail with parts 004034 and 011069 (Fig. 1) (Fig. 7).
23. Determine the position of the intermediate balusters. Drill a hole using a 4.5mm Ø bit; assemble parts
033142 with the screw 002040.
24. Cut the intermediate balusters at a height measurable on the staircase. Fit the balusters in parts 033142,
tighten with the components 001004 and fasten the handrail with parts 002031; hold the balusters in
vertical position (Fig. 1) (Fig. 7).
Assembling the balustrade on the floor
25. Determine the position of the balusters on the floor, on average one every 12cm. Drill a hole using a 10mm
Ø bit and fit parts 046015 fastening them with chemical resin (not provided). Assemble parts 033063 with
parts 009002 and 005001. Fit the remaining balustrade balusters (H = 920 mm) 121028 in parts 033063,
approximately every metre add the reinforcement baluster 126034 and lock them with parts 001004. Fasten
the balusters to the wall using part 033010 with parts 008004, 011053, 033056 (drill a hole using an
8mm Ø bit). Assemble the handrail 140053 to the balusters with parts 002031. Assemble any joining parts
033105, 033107 and end parts 033103 (Fig. 11).
Assembling the fixings on the wall and the accessories
26. Fit parts 004051 in the treads and parts 031064 in the lower part of the balusters 127012 in
correspondence to the corner treads and in the upper part in correspondence to the side spacers 127012
(Fig. 1).
27. Fit the closing parts of the supports 031062; cut the base support in height before fitting (Fig. 1).
28. Further stiffen the staircase in the following points (Fig. 8) (Fig. 10):
a) Fit the telescopic central pole 047087-047085 on the floor in an intermediate position (6th-7th rise) using
parts 047089 and 031070; cut in height if necessary; the base 047087 and the end piece 047085 must
have the same length; allow at least 25 cm for fitting the end piece 047085 to the base 047087. Drill a hole
in the support using a 13mm Ø bit and fasten the support bracket 047089 with parts 011062, 009047. Drill
parts 047085 and 047087 using a 9mm Ø bit and assemble the locking part 046046 and 004052.
b) Fasten the staircase to the wall using the telescopic central pole 047087, 047085 with parts 046029
and 006001; drill a hole in the wall using an 18mm Ø bit; make an initial seat of 19mm Ø and 15mm deep
in the hole for the tightening nut 006001. Assemble parts 006001 on the tie-rods 046029 without going to
the end of travel; fasten to the wall with chemical resin, wait for the resin to dry and then finally tighten parts
006001. Drill a hole in the support using a 13mm Ø bit and fasten the support bracket 047089 with parts
011062, 009008 and 005009.
