5.5.7 Set firing temperature
Press the relevant yellow sensor button. Enter the firing temperature with the numeric keypad, e.g. for 940 °C enter 940.
5.5.8 Set vacuum
a. time-controlled (e.g. Dentsply DeTrey mode) Press the relevant yellow sensor button. Enter the vacuum
time with the numeric keypad, e.g. for 1 minute enter 0100.
b. temperature-controlled (e.g. Dentsply Ceramco mode)
Press the relevant yellow sensor button. Enter the temperature for switching the vacuum on or off with the numeric keypad.
Note: The ceramic types "metal ceramics" and "pressable ceramics" are entered and displayed in minutes:seconds and the "sinter
ceramics" in hours:minutes.
5.5.9 Set firing time
Press the relevant yellow sensor button. Enter the firing time with the numeric keypad, e.g. for 2 minutes enter 0200.
Note: The ceramic types "metal ceramics" and "pressable ceramics" are entered and displayed in minutes:seconds and the "sinter
ceramics" in hours:minutes.
5.5.10 Set tempering temperature
During tempering, the thermal expansion coefficient (CTE) of the ceramic is increased by controlled growth of leucite crystals. Thus, the CTE of
the metal ceramic can be adjusted to alloys that differ greatly in terms of their CTE.
Press the relevant yellow sensor button. Enter the tempering temperature with the numeric keypad, e.g. 1000 for 1000 °C.
Consult the ceramics manufacturer before using the tempering function!
5.5.11 Set tempering time
Press the relevant yellow sensor button. Enter the tempering time with the numeric keypad, e.g. enter 1000 for 10 minutes.
5.5.12 Set cooling stage
Using the 3 cooling stages of the Multimat2 Touch results in a stress relaxation in the ceramics. When cooling stages were
programmed, the cooling starts after the end of the firing time, and lasts until the preheating temperature is reached again.
For activating it, press the yellow sensor button until the desired cooling stage is displayed.
Cooling stages
0 = Firing chamber moves immediately to upper end position – no controlled cooling
1 = Firing chamber opens about 70 mm
2 = Firing chamber opens about 50 mm
3 = Firing chamber remains closed – Quick cooling
(Controlled cooling is only available in sinter programs.
5.6 Save program
Save your program by pressing the button "S". The entered firing parameters will be checked on validity. Invalid firing parameters will be shown
in the info field and must be corrected after pressing the button "C". Once all firing parameters are accepted, the control system proposes to
use the next available program number as a storage location. Press the button "S" again to accept the default setting.
If you wish to save a program under an individual number, use the numeric keypad to enter a different program number and confirm with "S".
The firing parameters will be saved. By entering a new number, the old program with this number will be over-written. You will be asked to con-
firm the overwriting.
