2.2 Remove the right and left side protections, by pulling them towards the outside
(Fig. 5).
2.3 Insert the right and left ends of the chin guard simultaneously into the slots
found on the right and left side frames of the helmet, and press them towards
the inside of the helmet until you hear the fastening click (Fig. 6).
2.4 Make sure the chin guard is correctly fastened at both ends by gently pulling it
towards the outside of the helmet.
WARNING!
- Never remove the semi-rigid inner padding of the chin guard.
- When the helmet is used without the chin guard, always assemble the chin
guard covers supplied as standard.
- If in doubt on how the manual chin guard release mechanism works,
please contact an X-lite dealer.
• WIND PROTECTOR (Fig. 7)
This accessory allows improved helmet performance under certain conditions of use.
The Wind Protector prevents unpleasant infiltrations of air under the chin.
See Fig. 7 for the assembly and disassembly.
• RACING COMFORT - INNER COMFORT PADDING
To remove and/or reassemble the inner comfort padding, open the helmet visor and
lift the VPS.
CHEEK PAD REMOVAL
1.1 Open the chin strap (see specific instructions) and pull the front part of the left
cheek pad towards the inside of the helmet to unsnap the three fasteners on its
back (Fig. 8).
1.2 Remove the padding of the left cheek pad from the helmet by pulling the left chin
strap out of the cheek pad slot.
1.3 Repeat these steps with the padding of the right cheek pad.
NOTE: it is not necessary to remove the polystyrene foam cheek pads with the
seats for the snap fasteners of the pads from the helmet shell.
LINER REMOVAL
1.4 Release the roll-neck eyelet from the frame fixed to the outer shell (Fig. 9).
1.5 Unhook the rear left fastening flap of the support attached to the inner shell and
pull the comfort padding lightly towards the inside, at the helmet neck-ring area
(Fig. 10).
Then repeat the same steps to remove the central flap as well as the right
rear flap.
1.6 Hold the front left part of the liner and pull it upwards in order to remove the liner
flap from the support fixed to the polystyrene inner shell (Fig. 11). Repeat the
same steps to remove the central and right front flap.
1.7 Completely remove the liner from the helmet.
