• I. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on choosing this quality SCOTT product. Before use, please read the fol-
lowing instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions in safe custody. This specific
product line has been developed to offer you the best comfort and an engineered fit.
• II. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
These protectors are considered to be items of Personal Protector Equipment (PPE)
of Category II and as such are subject to the requirements laid down by the European
directive 89/686/EEC. The CE marking may be allocated by SCOTT only once the
protector has undergone an "EC Type Examination" or "Certification Procedure" at a
notified European body.
The protectors in this information sheet undergo EC certification at a Notified European
Body, Italcert (NB0426), Viale Sarca 336, 20126 Milano, Italy which certifies that our
products meet the requirements of directive 89/686/EEC.
BACK PROTECTOR
These SCOTT back protectors have been designed within the requirements of the Euro-
pean safety standard EN 1621-2:2014 "Motocyclist's protective clothing against mechani-
cal impact - Part 2: Motorcyclists' back protector -Requirements and tests method". The
back protectors have been submitted to impact tests according to EN 1621-2:2014 and
have been classified as type FB (= Full Back), Level 1.
STONE SHIELD (BREAST/FRONT PROTECTOR)
The front (or) breast protector has been submitted to tests according to the standard
EN 14021:2003 (Only applicable for Adult).
ELBOW, FOREARM AND SHOULDER GUARDS
The elbow, forearm and shoulder guards have been submitted to impact tests accord-
ing to EN 1621-1:2012 'E' and 'S' and have been classified as type A, Level 1.
• III. INTENDED USE
This protector is strictly limited for the respective use and temperatures indicated by
the pictograms on the approval label (see chapter VI. Info on product). The protector is
explicitly not to be used above or below indicated temperatures, nor for other kinds of
sports (off road motocross).
• IV. USER RESTRICTIONS
APPLICATION AREA 
These protectors are designed and manufactured to provide limited protection against
the risk of impact in the event of a fall. The stone shields are designed to provide pro-
tection against lofted stones towards the chest area. All protector plates provide a
