7.3 Important notes on installation and commissioning

It is essential that you note and obey the following instructions. Otherwise, people
may be injured or the electro cylinder or other components may be damaged.
•
This electro cylinder must not have additional borings.
•
This electro cylinder must not be used for outside operation.
•
The electro cylinder must be protected against moisture penetration.
•
The electro cylinder must not be moved up to the "block". Risk of mechanical damage.
•
You must not open the electro cylinder.
•
The user must ensure that there is no danger when the power supply is connected.
•
When designing tables, take care to avoid crushing and shear points. These are to be protect-
ed appropriately.
•
Automatic driving up of the electro cylinder due to a fault is to be stopped immediately by
cutting off the power supply.
•
If a feed line is damaged, the lifting column is to be taken out of service immediately.
•
The electro cylinder must not be stressed during installation.
7.3.1 Supplementary notes for installation and commissioning of LZ 80 PL
and FL without motor
•
When installing a motor on the electro cylinder, you must take care to align its motor shaft
and drive shaft axially.
•
No cleaners must enter the bearing.
•
When installing couplings or motor adapters, blows to or impacts on the drive pin must be
avoided.
•
The axial push rod locking is only to be removed after the motor is installed.
•
If the push rod locking is removed prematurely, the pushrod can start moving uncontrollably.
