7.8 LZ 80 PL/FL installation
7.8.1 Coupling/motor adapter/motor
A motor with or without a transmission can be connected to the coupling housing. Correct layout
of the drive prevents this electro cylinder posing a risk. The motor is adapted via a motor adapter
consisting of motor plate/s and coupling. This matched combination ensures that the compo-
nents are aligned axially.
The motor/electro cylinder combination determines the motor adapter version. The installation
follows a logical sequence (see diagram 2). A coupling lug is mounted on the spindle pin with key.
The dimensions from outside are 21 mm (see diagram 1). The clamping screw for the coupling
lug is tightened through the installation opening in the coupling housing.
The second coupling lug is mounted on the motor pin with key and fixed with the clamping
screw. The clamping range of the coupling lug is full-face on the shaft pin, the bevel of the motor
pin is completely visible and at the same time the shaft pin is proud of the coupling lug by at least
1.5-2 mm. Various motor plates and/or centring rings are used according to version.
Note:
When using a pulse sensor disk, you must observe the assembly sequence on the motor pin in the
separate installation instructions.
