7.12 Servicing

LZ 80
The electric cylinder is maintenance-free but not wear-free. If worn parts of the product are not
replaced, the safety that we assume of this product is no longer guaranteed.
LZ 80 PL and FL
All electro cylinders are provided in the factory with the required lubricant quantities. Servicing in-
tervals are dependent on the hours run, the stressing and environmental factors.
The pushrod must be fully extended for spindle lubrication. Remove the cap and grease the spin-
dle with a small to medium size paintbrush. The grease must be applied evenly to a maximum of
1-2 mm over the visible length.
The pushrod must be extended completely for lubricating, just as with spindle lubrication. The
pushrod must be cleaned with a lint-free cloth along its entire length. The pushrod is then
smeared lightly with grease. Use a cloth to spread the grease evenly over the entire length and the
circumference in order to produce a thin film of grease over the pushrod.
After 200 operating hours the wear of the trapezoidal threaded spindle nut must be
checked on the basis of the thread play.
If the axial play is more than ¼ the thread pitch with single start threads, the spindle
must be replaced.
Recommended lubricants:
We recommend greases containing mineral oil of the KP1K
-30, DIN 51502 type for trapezoidal spindles, fastening (fork
head / bolts) and the pushrod.
We recommend greases containing mineral oil of the NLGI
class 2 type (Dynalub 510) for recirculating ball spindles.
Lubricating interval:
Trapezoidal spindles every 50 hours run
Recirculating ball spindles every 400 hours run
Pushrod (lifting column) every 400 hours run
Fastening every 800 operating hours
Work with the electro cylinder may only take place in accordance with these instructions. The unit
may only be opened by authorised technical staff. If there is a fault with the drive, we recommend
that you contact the manufacturer or send the drive for repair.
if you are working on the electrical system or on electrical components, these must be isolated
from the mains first to prevent any risk of injury.
Independent conversions of or changes to the drive unit are not permitted on safety grounds.
Safety-related devices must be checked at least once a year for completeness and serviceabi-
lity.
