4. Flush the sensor with 50 mL or more particle-free oil to remove any
leftover oil traces.
5. Flush the sensor with the actual oil sample.

Oil to water applications

W A R N I N G
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of
the personal protective equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled.
Refer to the current material safety data sheets (MSDS) for safety protocols.
To avoid inaccurate results, refer to the following procedure when
changing the application from oil to water
1. Flush the sensor with mineral spirit several times.
2. Flush the microcell with isopropyl alcohol and then flush the microcell
with clean, particle-free water.
Note: The fluids used one after each other must be miscible. Immiscibility will
create droplets causing false particle counts and may coat the microcell
windows.
