USE
Removing
Note: The crankshaft pulley can be incorrectly installed 180° from the
required position. Be sure to note the location of the alignment hole on the
crankshaft pulley prior to removing the crankshaft pulley from the engine.
Rotate the engine clockwise until the bore (2) in the crankshaft pulley aligns
with the mark (1) on the engine front cover.
Install crankshaft pulley holding tool (1) to
extension (2)
Loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt (4) while fixing the crankshaft pulley (3)
with crankshaft pulley holding tool (1) and extension (2).
Remove and discard the crankshaft pulley bolt (2).
Remove the crankshaft pulley (1).
Installing
Note: The crankshaft pulley flange must fit to the hexagon of the oil pump
rotor (2) and to the two-flat of the crankshaft (1).
The TDC markings on crankshaft pulley and engine front cover must match.
Install the crankshaft pulley carefully by pressing into position.
Measure the distance (a) between the crankshaft pulley (2) and the mark on
the engine front cover (1). The distance (a) should be 5.5 mm (0.21654 in),
please refer to manufacturers data. Install a new crankshaft pulley bolt.
Note: Never re-use the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt (4) to required torque while fixing the
crankshaft pulley (3) with crankshaft pulley holder (1) and extension (2).
