About the Battery
Charging System
2 System Basics
The Integrated Continuous Battery Charging System is comprised of a
charging circuit built into the base of the injector's Scan Room Unit, an AC/DC
power supply module and cables that connect the AC/DC power supply to the
to the injector base.
The system is designed to provide DC power to the Scanner Room Unit and
to charge the battery for MEDRAD Spectris Solaris and MEDRAD Spectris
Solaris EP MR Injection Systems. The standard MEDRAD Spectris Solaris EP
battery charger can also be used to recharge the battery.
NOTE:
The MEDRAD Spectris Solaris MR Injector System must
be fitted with the MEDRAD Spectris Solaris EP Power
Upgrade in order to employ the Integrated Continuous
Battery Charging System.
NOTE:
A battery must be installed in the Scan Room Unit while
using the Integrated Continuous Battery Charging
System for the injector to function.
The system will automatically begin charging the battery when the Scan
Room Unit is idle. When the Scan Room Unit is performing an injection, the
injection system will use the battery as its source of power.
Based on injector usage, the battery may become depleted. Simply leave the
injector in the idle state and the battery will charge. However, if the injector
must be used, remove the depleted battery from the injector, and replace with
another battery. Charge the depleted battery using the standard MEDRAD
Spectris Solaris EP battery charger.
