5.2 Gateway connection with boilers not equipped with
BridgeNet Bus protocol
The connection procedure between
the Gateway and the Ariston Net/
Chaff oteaux boiler varies depending
on
whether
Diagnostics function is to be enabled
for the Ariston/Chaff oteaux Service
Center, or both functions of Remote
Control and Remote Diagnostics.
Connection for the
Remote Diagnostics function (Fig. 1)
- Connect the supplied serial cable
to the serial input of the gateway
- Connect the other end of the
cable to the serial connector on
the Ariston/Chaff oteaux boiler
Connection for the
Remote Control function (Fig. 2)
- Connect the supplied serial cable
to the serial input of the gateway
- Connect the supplied two-pole
cable to the TA input of the
gateway
- Connect the ends of the two
cables to the corresponding serial
and TA inputs on the Ariston/
Chaff oteaux boiler.
5.3 Gateway link to heating products provided
with Bus BridgeNet Protocol
• Connect the two-core cable sup-
plied in the package to the Bus
BridgeNet port of the gateway,
using 1 orange connector also
supplied
• Connect the other end of the ca-
ble to the Bus BridgeNet port of
the heating product, using ano-
ther orange connector
