Monitor service menu
On page 5.5 and 5.6 see an overview of the Service Mode menus. The Service
Mode consists of two parts: Service menu and ignore mode.
The values in "Projector mode" are only valid if a projector is connected to the TV.
Switch between Plasma and Projector mode: Press LIST until the Beo4 display
reads FORMAT then press 0 to toggle between Plasma and Projector mode.
Beo4: Press MENU and then 0 0 GO within 3 seconds.
Service Mode is abandoned by pressing

Removes the menus

- Selects the sub menu to the menu line where the cursor is placed
- Stores the selected values and returns to the SERVICE MENU
- Deletes error codes

Important!
When replacing the electrical chassis including PCB6, Main Microcomputer,
to avoid loss of data the old EEPROM 6IC4 must be moved to the new PCB6.
See the section of adjustments.

- Latest fi ve TV errors
- Latest ML error
ERROR:TV
The TV is able to detect certain types of error and display them on the screen.
The fi ve latest TV errors are shown as error codes and displayed with the month/
date (four digits). The most recent error is displayed at the top.
If an error code is shown please write it down and return it with the defective part.
The following TV error types can be displayed:

DF
Data Failure:
If an error occurs in the EEPROM (6IC4) that prevents output of data to
the TV set, the EPROM will replace the missing data with default data
stored in the EPROM (6IC1 & 6IC2).
HPF
Reset or update failure of 2IC150 (TDA9330H) during start up.
HIF
Reset or update failure of 2IC1 (TDA9320H) during start up.
HCE
2IC1 (TDA9320H) is not initialized during start up.
USF
US-box Fail
XX-YZ
XX = IIC address
Y = IIC bus 1 or bus 2
Z = any IIC bus segment A/B/C/D)
The other error code is for detection of errors in the Master Link system.
