3� Turn the buckle strap
retainer so that the short
side will go through the slot
in the infant car seat shell
and cover�
4� Pull the buckle and belly
pad out of the slots in the
shell and cover�
5� Push the retainer through
the slot in the cover and
shell for the appropriate
buckle position�
6� Pull up on the buckle to
ensure that the buckle
strap retainer is properly
seated�

Handle Position

The car seat handle must be
adjusted to one of the four
locked positions for use in a
vehicle�
Always use position 1 to carry
the car seat�
To adjust, press and hold both
handle adjuster levers and
rotate the handle to the chosen
position�
IMPORTANT: Do not force
the carry handle past the
upright carry position toward
the child's feet� Doing so may
cause damage to the carry
handle�
