CHAPTER 3.
START-UP. ADJUSTMENT AND OPERATION CONTROLS.
In principle, the connection of the system and the preliminary operations must be carried out as indicated
in CHAPTERS 2 and 3 of the GALA INDUSTRIAL power source instructions manual.
A- Wire speed control.
B- Welding voltage control. COARSE-FINE . (Electronic power sources).
C- On/Off luminous indicator.
D- Fuse-holder. General protection system for wire-feed. It contains a 10A DIN 6x32 fuse.
E- Female connector for gun.
F- 2T- 4T working mode switch.
- 2T working mode.
The gun pushbutton must be kept pressed down to carry out the welding operation.
- 4T working mode.
In this mode the finger can be removed from the torch pushbutton when carrying out the welding
operation.
G- Gas and motor bleed-switch.
With the switch in its end positions we will achieve the exclusive operation of the driving motor or of the gas
passage solenoid valve.
H- Initial acceleration ramp control of driving motor.
The abruptness of the start of the arc can be decreased with this, creating a progression of the motor
speed.
J.- Final wire length control. It adjusts the final wire length at the outlet from the torch.
K.- Flow indicator dial of shielding gas (Rotameter).
We can measure the shielding gas flow with a graduated scale. To regulate the flow to the desired value
we will bleed the gas with control G, regulating the flow with control L.
L.- Flow regulator of shielding gas (Rotameter).
We can measure the shielding gas flow with a graduated scale. To regulate the flow to the desired value
we will bleed the gas with control G, regulating the flow with control L. The flow regulation will be exact if
the torch is kept free from knots. Gauge the rotameter with a manual one for normal work operations.
I- Hot water connector. (OPTIONAL KIT)
O- Cold-water outlet connector (BLUE). (OPTIONAL KIT)
U2/I2- Measurement weld parameters. (D-20 C / V-I)
D-20C / D-20C (V-I)
