2. Proper and intended use
The mobile MENZER VC 660 M industrial vacuum
cleaner is suitable for vacuuming dry, non-
flammable, non-explosive and non-harmful dusts.
It is only designed and intended for dry-vacuuming
floors and walls indoors. The VC 660 M industrial
vacuum cleaner is suitable for commercial use,

4. Safety instructions

4.1 General

Attention! Read all safety notices and
instructions!
• Store the operating instructions in a safe place.
• Use the machine only as intended. Doing work
that the machine was not designed for can result
in injury to persons or damage to property.
• Ignored instructions and notes or negligent
compliance with these can result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury.
• This machine may not be used by people who
suffer from physical/mental disabilities or cognitive
disorders or who lack the necessary experience
in dealing with such equipment. Do not allow
children to use the machine!
• Store the machine out of the reach of children.
• WARNING – Persons operating this machine
must be adequately trained in its use.
• WARNING – If you wear a pacemaker, check
with your doctor or the manufacturer of the pace-
maker about possible hazards and precautions.
Not all pacemakers are immune to electromag-
netic fields. Do not use the machine if your doctor
cannot guarantee that it would be safe!
• Have broken equipment fixed only by the
MENZER service department.

4.2 Equipment-specific safety instructions

• WARNING – This machine is not suitable to
vacuum flammable and explosive dust and dust
that poses a health hazard! Vacuuming hazardous
materials can lead to serious injury or death.
The following sample materials may not be
vacuumed:
- dust harmful to health
- hot, burning, smouldering, glowing or easily
flammable materials, for example smouldering
cigarettes, hot ash, wood chips, etc.
- flammable, explosive and aggressive liquids,
e.g. petrol, heating oil, acetone, paint thinners,
paints, solvents and cleaning agents, acids,
alkalis, etc.
- flammable and/or explosive dusts, e.g.
magnesium dust, aluminium dust, zinc dust,
plastic dust, coal dust, flour dust, starchy
dusts, etc.
- Water, any other liquid or wet substances
in general
- reactive gases and vapours, e.g. ammonium,
hydrogen chloride, gasoline vapours, etc.
- sharp-edged and pointed small parts, e.g.
shards, nails, screws, etc.
• WARNING – This machine is only intended for
dry application!
• WARNING – This machine is only intended for
indoor use!
• WARNING – This machine must only be stored
indoors!
WARNING – If you want to
vacuum slightly harmful dusts,
such as gypsum, lime, mica, cement or putty,
you do so at your own risk. You must wear
appropriate personal protective equipment when
doing the above. Respiratory protection and eye
protection must be worn. This requirement applies
to every other person in the work area or who is in
the vicinity of the work area!
