Christmas CakePops
To make delicious CakePops, you will need:
Dough: 30 g wheat flour, 15 g cornflour, 1 level tsp baking powder,
45 g sugar, 35 g butter or margarine, 1 egg (size M),
30 g ground hazelnuts or almonds
Crumble: 100 g mascarpone, 1 1/2 heaped tsps ground cinnamon
Decor: Decorate CakePops in the desired colour using CakeMelts*,
food colouring* or sugar decors* (see decorating tip)
Pre-heat the oven to 170 °C (convection oven) or 190 °C (top and bot-
tom heat).
For the dough Mix the dry ingredients (flour, cornflour, baking pow-
der, sugar) in a mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients for the
dough and briefly stir at the lowest speed with the hand mixer's
beater, then stir to a dough for one minute at the highest speed.
Put the dough into a small, greased and floured cake tin. Smooth the
dough and place the tin onto a rack in the pre-heated oven. Baking
time is approximately 15 – 18 minutes.
After baking, place the cake tin onto a cooling grille and allow the
cake to cool in the tin for about 10 minutes. Then turn out the cake
onto the cooling grille and allow to cool completely (tip: bake the cake
a day earlier so that it can set).
For the crumble Crumble the cake into a mixing bowl. Add the mas-
carpone and cinnamon. Stir together all of the ingredients with the
hand mixer's beater. Form rough balls of the dough and press them
into the troughs. Close the mould and remove excess dough.
After opening, carefully remove the shaped CakePops and put them
into the refrigerator for about an hour. If necessary, smooth off the
edges using a sharp kitchen knife.
