5.6 Changing Objectives

NOTICE
Dust-sensitive components
If unused nosepiece openings remain uncovered, particles may enter the Microscope and may
damage its optics and mechanics permanently.

The objectives should be installed according to the direction shown in the figure in order of in-
creasing magnification.
Procedure
1. Use the focus drive to fully lower the mechanical stage or the stage carrier.
2. Remove the cover cap or screw out the present
3. Take the objective out of its case.
4. Carefully screw the objective into the opening.

5.7 Switching Off the Microscope

Procedure
1. Turn the light intensity knob.
2. Cover the microscope with the dust cover.

Always close unused nosepiece openings with cover caps!
objective from the nosepiece's relevant open-
ing.
Make sure it engages properly in the nose-
piece's thread.
