PACKAGING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
1
Packaging
The containment devices must be supplied with transport
packaging.
2
Transport, storage
2.1

specialist experience, suitable units, equipment and transport
means as well as sufficiently trained personnel.
To avoid hazards for employees and third parties, the applicable
accident prevention directives must be observed.
2.2
Transport preparation
The containment devices must be prepared for transport so that
no damage occurs during loading, transport, and unloading.
The loading surface of the transport vehicle must be constructed
so that it is not possible to damage the containers by
impacts from pointed objects- or because of compressive
stresses.
2.3
Loading- and unloading
When lifting, moving, and setting down the containment devices,
impact loads must be avoided.
The containment devices must not be dragged across the floor.

those specified in annex 2.
1.2
Tests on the containment devices
a) The dimensional stability, including the wall thickness, of each
containment device is to be tested in accordance with annex 1.
b) Each containment device is to be subjected to a leak test.
2
Initial test
Prior to the start of serial production in the manufacturer's factory,
a containment device must be randomly selected from the
inspected production quantity at the discretion of the sampler and
tested by the recognised test house to ensure that it meets the
requirements of this General Construction Inspection Approval.
The samples for the initial test are normally selected and marked
by the representative of the test house during the initial inspection
of the factory. The samples must conform to the conditions in
annexes 1 and 2 as well as section 1 of this annex. The sampler
must draw up a log of the method for selecting a sample. The
test report must fulfills the conditions of annex 1 and 2 as well as
